CPCS Red & Blue Card – What’s the Difference?

• Red Trained Operator Card: Issued after completing CPCS training and passing the technical tests. Valid for 2 years.
• Blue Competent Operator Card: Earned by completing an NVQ Level 2 in your chosen category. Valid for 5 years and renewable.

Entry Requirements

• Be aged 18 or over
• Pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Operatives Test within the last 2 years
• Understand basic spoken and written English
